4 Sleeps.

I know, I know. 4 Sleeps! You can't believe it. And I can't wrap my mind around it either. And yet, here it comes. Almost time to go. Am I ready? I hope so...I think so...I will be! I'm well equipped with a travel journal (courtesy of Momma House), my camera, Disney folders (thanks Tina!), enough pictures of friends and family to cover a bulliten coard, & a frisbee. So really, what else will I need?

I can't believe that in 4 days I'm headed to France. Wednesday starts this adventure. Woah. But want to know one of the best things about where I'm headed? Today weather.com informed me that it is a good 20 degrees warmer in Provence in the winter time than it is in Gettysburg, sha-weet! Do I know how to pick 'em or what?!

Right now it's 4:33 am in Aix. Hopefully, with arriving two days prior to orientation, I'll be able to adjust mostly to the different time zone. Here's hoping I don't turn into a complete and total night owl my first week there! Can't have my french family thinking I'm a crazy, non-sleeping person. That Kate is reserved for finals weeks, and finals week only.

4 sleeps. Where did the summer go? Will this semester pass as quickly as the summer months?

Why Does the Metric System Hate Me?

First - Why can't we use the metric system?

Second - How many lbs. are in a kgs?

Third - How am I going to get all this into two bags and stay under the allowed weight limit?

These are only some of the questions facing me today. I'm not leaving for a few more weeks, but the packing is starting now. Operation get Kate to Europe with all her necessary school items, commence!

Three piles of clothes, books & miscellaneous items - two suitcases - one student hell-bent on getting from Newark to Brussels to Marseilles and then on the Aix!
